Octopus Energy started with a bold idea: to build Britain’s first truly digital energy supplier. By combining world-class tech with brilliant humans who care deeply about customers and driving the renewable energy transition, we made it happen and in 2025, we became Britain’s largest energy supplier.

Octopus Energy Group is a global energy transition collective. 10 businesses working across 4 continents to tackle energy transformation at nearly every front.

And we constantly push to make energy better. Tirelessly campaigning for fair protections for customers. And building innovative technologies that forge a path to a green energy system.

We’re made up of 10,000+ authentic, committed people working around the world on stuff you'd never expect. We're united by a shared goal: to drive the global green energy revolution. Read our Spotlight series to meet some of the team.

We're looking for a Regional Leader to join our East Anglia Field Sales team.

We’re not here to do field sales the way it’s always been done…At Octopus Energy, we’re building something different.

We're bringing together social engagement, retail, events and face-to-face conversations to create a completely new way of welcoming customers to Octopus. We’re changing the landscape of traditional field marketing and customer facing interactions.

The role will be about more than simply bringing new customers to Octopus. You’ll lead a team responsible for welcoming new customers, switching their energy supply to Octopus, and helping our existing customers discover and adopt our growing range of Low Carbon Tech products.

We're looking for a leader of a totally new concept within field sales who wants to help build it here in the East of England.

What you'll do

  • As Regional Leader for East Anglia, you’ll grow, develop and lead our Norfolk team of face-to-face ambassadors and their Team Leader, setting the standard for performance, culture and conduct.

  • You’ll spend around 90% of your time at venues with your team, coaching, supporting and demonstrating what great selling looks like.

  • You’ll motivate, coach and develop a relatively young and ambitious team, helping every individual reach their potential and identifying and nurturing future leaders.

  • You’ll understand that great results come from consistent activity, strong methodology and excellent execution, using data and insight to coach your team towards their targets.

  • You’ll hold people accountable while creating an environment built on inspiration, trust and continuous improvement, not pressure or punishment.

  • You’ll be a frontline ambassador for Octopus Energy, ensuring your team delivers an exceptional customer experience while living our culture and values.

  • You’ll play a key role in delivering East Anglias’ growth plans and Field Sales goals for 2026–27, welcoming new customers through effective planning and execution against regional forecasts.

  • You’ll work closely with your Divisional Leader and fellow Regional Leaders to share best practice, while being confident to challenge upwards as well as lead your team.

  • You’ll be comfortable operating autonomously within clear targets and best-practice guidelines. You won’t need to be the loudest person in the room, but you will be the most influential.

What you'll need

  • Experience within face-to-face sales, customer experience or leading and coaching people

  • Experience working across venues, events, retail or D2D

  • A data-savvy approach, using insight to improve performance

  • Experience recruiting, developing and getting the best out of people

  • Confidence presenting performance and ideas to senior stakeholders

  • A curious, commercial and energetic mindset

  • Confidence giving difficult feedback and having honest conversations

  • Resilience, especially when things don’t go to plan

  • The confidence to challenge upwards and question how things are done

  • A leadership style that leads from the front and celebrates other people’s success

  • A genuine belief that people perform best when they feel supported, trusted and accountable
